The Valentine’s Day Nintendo Direct this morning sure proved that Nintendo loves us 3DS owners. The handheld was the main focus of the event! Reggie Fils-Aime talked about three 3DS games and one Wii U DLC pack that star Luigi, Mario’s other half. The other games mentioned were for the Wii U, but the 3DS was the star this time. Plus, Fils-Aime took time to even hype up DLC.
First, let’s go ahead and list all of the new games mentioned at the February 14, 2013 Nintendo Direct.
I told you Animal Crossing: New Leaf would be announced during this Nintendo Direct!
Today was one of the first Nintendo Directs where DLC was also a pretty big thing. One of the bggest announcements was New Super Luigi U, a DLC content pack that will be available for New Super Mario Bros. U. It will add alternate versions of the game’s 80 stages. I think the Luigi name was added ust to make it sound cool. Free Style Savvy: Trend Setters DLC is also coming, with Animal Crossing inspired Gracie Grace clothes and real world Liz Lisa clothing. Fire Emblem: Awakening also has more DLC immediately available, as the final Champions of Yore map is out and the Golden Gaffe gold-grind map has been released. Each are $2.50. Also, NInja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge will receive free costume DLC and 25 Ninja Trials before February 2013 ends.
