xbox live updateIt’s time for the latest Xbox Live Update! We’ll start by looking into the heart of the cards with Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Decade Duels Plus. Duel against your favorite characters, or the ones you hate, from the animated series in single player. In multiplayer, you can step up in four player tag duels with text and voice chat.  Custom match options allow you to decide the conditions of the duel. Additional card packs for your deck are available through the Xbox Live Marketplace. It’s 800 MP($10) to duel with this one. Come on, Yugi is waiting to challenge you.

Xbox Live gets two new entertainment applications this week as well. Telemundo is now available. Enjoy hit telenovelas such as Caso Cerrago, 12 Corazones and La Patrona, while controlling the whole experience with Kinect. Neon Alley, a channel providing uncut and English-dubbed anime, is on Xbox Live too. It has exclusive premieres as well as news on the world of anime. Neon Alley is subscription based, but offering a one-week free trial to Xbox Live Gold members.

This week’s Games on Demand offerings are not very sexy. You can have Quantum Theory and X-Men: Origins Wolverine for $29.99 each, Ben 10: Omniverse for $39.99, F1 2012 for $34.99 and Kinect Disneyland Adventures for $19.99. Those are not the greatest prices available, however. That’s especially the case with the Wolverine movie game, available for under $10 at most game retailers these days.

There’s a Season Pass for Aliens: Colonial Marines DLC available for 2400 MP. ($30) The game also received a massive day one patch. Among other things, it’s supposed to fix doors not opening properly, doors blocking shots even though they’re supposed to be open and some fixes for splitscreen mode. As you may have guessed from the lengthy list of basic mechanics that are being patched, this is not a great game. Our Jenni Lada warns why even the most devoted of Aliens fans should probably steer clear of this one.
