During the PlayStation event this evening, Blizzard’s Chris Metzen came on stage to announce the development of Diablo 3 for the PS4 and PS3. Diablo 3 will have a completely customized user interface that will make the game much easier to play with a controller. Blizzard is also implementing a “new dynamic camera perspective” that’s suppose to jazz things up a bit. A release date for the game on both platforms wasn’t announced.
Much like its PC counterpart, the console version of Diablo 3 will support single-player and four-player co-op either locally or online. In fact, four-player split-screen will be included. There’s no word on whether a persistent internet connection will be required to play Diablo 3 on the PS3 or PS4.
PAX East will be the first place players will be able to play the PS3 version of Diablo 3.
