We have reached the end of an era. The flow of Mass Effect 3 DLC has slowed to a trickle. There are just two more drops before it all runs out, and those two drops are named Reckoning and Citadel. BioWare has revealed the names of the last two expansions for what was probably one of the best games of 2012, despite the controversy. It’s a sad day, but a happy one as well. We now know we’ll have a reason to get online with friends or dust our favorite Dude!Sheps and Fem!Sheps again.
Very few details have been released about the last two bits of Mass Effect 3 DLC. We know the free Reckoning multiplayer expansion will be released on February 26, 2013 and the $14.99/1,200 Microsoft Point Citadel single player expansion will follow on March 5, 2013. That’s it though. One will give us more to do when playing with friends online, while the other will let us engage in another romp with Commander Shepard and our virtual friends.
I’m going to make a deal with you BioWare. If this Citadel Mass Effect 3 DLC is some kind of date-night expansion, I’m in sight-unseen. If I get to go engage in girl-talk and shopping with Kasumi, have an awesome casual date with Garrus and perhaps, dare I even hope, go on a date with Thane, you can have that $15 in a heartbeat. I want to have some fun with my favorite crew before the world ends! If Citadel gives me that kind of experience, then expect hugs and snuggles should I run into any of the members of the development team at E3 2013. I mean, look at the screenshot you all released! You wouldn’t tease us with an image of drinks with Wrex unless you were going to let us have fluffy fun times with our favorite characters, would you?
