Criterion Games does racing games and DLC right. Need for Speed: Most Wanted is an excellent racer, and EA has announced a trio of DLC packs you’re going to love. The Movie Legends pack includes five seriously famous cars. James Bond 007′s 2008 Aston Martin DBS and Aston Martin DB5, the Shelby GT500 1967 from Gone in 60 Seconds, Vin Diesel’s 1970 Dodge Charger R/T from the Fast and the Furious and the 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Special Edition from Smokey and the Bandit.

The Need for Speed: Terminal Velocity Terminal Velocity DLC features Fairhaven International Airport which is unfinished, leaving racers with all sorts of ramps to jump from. You can take cars to the airport runway to generate some serious speed. It includes two new game modes. Drift Attack requires players to drift along a certain route for a set period of time. Smash and Grab gives the player a time limit to bust through as many markers as possible.

To help players out with these game modes, there are two new car modifications: drift tires and jump nitrous. The cars in Fairhaven catch more air than the planes do, and that’s one of the reasons I love this game. Terminal Velocity contains four new cars immediately available: the 2012 models of the BMW 1M, Audi RS3 2012, Ford Fiesta ST and Alfa Romeo Mito. Completing a new Most Wanted event will release the 2013 Porsche 918 Spyder.

Need for Speed Heroes focuses on beloved cars from previous NFS installments. It includes the the Lamborghini Diablo SV from Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit, Need for Speed: Underground‘s Nissan Skyline GT-R, the Nissan 350Z from Need for Speed Underground 2, the Porsche 911 GT2 from Need for Speed Undercover, and the BMW M3 GTR from the first Need for Speed Most Wanted.

Terminal Velocity is $14.99 or 1200 Microsoft Points. The other two packs are $10 or 800 MP. All three of these packs are already available on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. They don’t appear on Origin until March 13.
