gamestop sale ad february 27 march 5 2013February 26, 2013 was a bad day for Wii U owners, as it’s when Rayman Legends, one of the most anticipated Wii U games, was supposed to be released. Then there was the Ubisoft debacle and it’s delayed until September, making a lot of people sad pandas. Take heart, as GameStop is here for you with a sale! It’s February 27-March 5, 2013 sale ad has been released and it discounts seven Wii U games. Even better, three, maybe even four, of them are games you might actually want.

It’s a blanket $10 discount across all seven Wii U games at GameStop this week. It isn’t a huge discount, but that drop still helps and applies to both new and used copies of the games. For the list below though, I’ll just be providing the “new” prices. Subtract $5 more for the used price.

  • Assassin’s Creed III – $49.99
  • ESPN Sports Connection – $39.99
  • Just Dance 4 – $39.99
  • Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth – $39.99
  • Rabbids Land – $39.99
  • Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013 – $39.99
  • ZombiU – $49.99

Of those, only Just Dance 4 is reduced across all platforms. The PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 versions have also been marked down to $29.99.

Those aren’t the only games on sale at GameStop this week. A few other promising games have also been reduced. You may have heard of them, they’re Borderlands 2 (PS3, Xbox 360), DMC (PS3, Xbox 360) and Halo 4 (Xbox 360). Borderlands 2 and Halo 4 are both $39.99 each, and DMC‘s $49.99. The Hip Hop Dance Experience (Wii) is also $29.99 now, but I’m guessing there won’t be a mad rush on game when games like Assassin’s Creed III, Borderlands 2 and Halo 4 are also on sale.

This is definitely a week for Wii U games at GameStop, but you may want to pause before jumping on this deal. Other retailers, like Toys R Us and Target, have had Wii U game promotions lately where there are buy one, get one deals. If you just want one game, like Assassin’s Creed III or ZombiU, then you should probably go with GameStop. Maybe even get the used copies for $44.99. Those who are looking to start a library and get more than one game should wait for Toys R Us to do their buy one, get one X% off sale again.

  1. Why don’t you see people playing hip hop DX I think that was a bit of a stereotyped comment. The Wii is still popular and so are dance games so what exactly is your viewpoint on that game derived from?

    • I didn’t mean any offense. What I meant to say was that I didn’t think people would be as excited about a sale on The Hip Hop Dance Experience as they would about games like Assassin’s Creed III, Borderlands 2, Halo 4 and ZombiU. Even though I’m not a huge Halo fan and do tend to enjoy Ubisoft’s dancing games and Dance Central, I’d pick Assassin’s Creed III, Halo 4 or ZombiU in a heartbeat over The Hip Hop Dance Experience.

It’s not that it’s a bad game, just that its competition at GameStop this week would beat it in terms of sales.
