Now THIS is more like it. For the last several weeks, I’ve been feeling like North American PlayStation Plus members weren’t getting the same quality of free games as our European brothers and sisters. With this month’s PlayStation Plus update, those concerns have been put to rest. The Instant Game Collection is expanding with style with the arrival of Spec Ops: The Line, Joe Danger 2: The Movie, The Cave, Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention and Tekken 6. We won’t get all of these games at once, but expect one or two of them to be a part of Tuesday’s PlayStation Store update.
Don’t forget these freebies are in addition to the Vita anniversary sale that begins tomorrow and runs until March 11. During that time, three PSP and one PS one Classic will also be given away.
Tomorrow’s PlayStation Store update will also offer discounts on a couple handfuls of games. PS Plus members will save even more. For example, Sine Mora will be $4.89, Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will be $19.59, Runner2 will cost $11.99 and Orgarhythm will be $9.79.
This is a good time to see what all the fuss was about with Spec Ops: The Line. It didn’t introduce any changes to the third-person shooter genre from a technical standpoint, but it has some disturbing story elements based on the decisions you have to make.
