The Simpsons: Tapped Out received an update today for both Android and iOS. This update isn’t about changing the seasons or adding Origin support to the Android version. This update is all about adding new in-game content for those who have been playing for quite a while. There are some new level 27 buildings to drop into your Springfield, a new storyline and the introduction of the always pleasant duo, Lenny and Carl.
The new buildings include the Springfield Buddhist Temple and the Adult Education Annex. You may remember the Adult Education Annex from the episode where Homer teaches a course on how to have a successful marriage. The Springfield Buddhist Temple comes from the episode where Lisa decides to seek out another religion for herself. Another new structure is Mount Carlmore. This giant stone monument of Carl was carved by Lenny over the course of a single summer. If that’s not friendship, I don’t know what is.
As usual, this update is free, but all the really good stuff isn’t. New players can expect to spend a lot of time or money trying to reach level 27. If you have this game on Android, I advise against uninstalling it if you don’t have any way to back up your progress. Cloud saves through Origin are not available and it’s not clear if or when EA will change this.
