Warframe is the kind of free-to-play I can get behind. It has a focus on co-op PVE combat, it has a decent number of totally unique classes and an upgrade system really gets you invested in your character. If you didn’t have a chance to play it during its open beta weekend in February, now is your chance to jump in the action whenever you want. Warframe is now in open beta which means there are no restrictions on who can get in. Just download the client, make an account and start shooting your way to the top of your skill tree.
Warframe also received a significant update that introduces a few new things. There are two additional Warframes with sonic and poison abilities, a snow planet, Sentinel pets, a new bow and an updated Mod system.
Warframe is also coming to Steam on Monday, March 25. It won’t have to be greenlit or anything. It’ll be available from the main Steam store.
