Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate came out this week for the Wii U. It’s essentially an updated version of 2010’s Monster Hunter Tri. Don’t let that throw you though. What the lacks in modern graphical fidelity, it makes up for in content. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate can be one of those games that comes off as unapproachable. It has a really hardcore player base and uses a control scheme that seems downright archaic at this point. But for some reason, it all seems to work in Monster Hunter. As a novice hunter myself, I put together a video that I ‘m hoping will show new players the very basics of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. You’ll learn about resource gathering, questing and how hunting works. If you like what you see, download the demo on the Wii U eShop before slapping down $59.99.
