What time is it? PAX East 2013 time! The weekend convention began today and ends March 24, 2013, so make the most of it! Unless you’re at home and not there, in which case, read every PAX East 2013 news story, preview and announcement, then seeth with jealousy when you think of your friends who did get to go. Which is what I’m doing. Of course, I’m also secretly hoping one of the people I know there will be kind enough to grab me a The Last of Us brick from Sony’s booth, but that probably isn’t going to happen.
The Sony booth this year is very specific. From the sounds of it, the main focus is going to be on three games. So, here are the games that will be playable at PAX East 2013.
- The Last of Us (PS3)
- Sportsfriends (PS3)
- Tearaway (Vita)
People who play The Last of Us may be able to get one of 250 Dark Horse Comics The Last of Us: American Dreams posters, and should definitely be able to get a T-shirt or Brock the tension brick. People who play Tearaway will also get shirts, papercraft and pins.
Fortunately, you don’t have to just rely on Sony for PS3 and Vita game demos at PAX East 2013. Guacamelee (PS3, Vita), Dragon Fantasy Book 1 and Book 2 (PS3, Vita), DiveKick (PS3, Vita), Nun Attack (Vita) and Zombie Tycoon II (PS3, Vita) are also going to be at various developer booths and the IndieMegaBooth at PAX East 2013.
Finally, there is a panel and tournament to check out if you love Sony games. The Sportsfriends, Indie Collaboration, and Local Multiplayer one will be held today (March 22) at 1:30pm EST in the Phoenix Theater. Then, on March 23, 2013 at 7pm the Sportsfriends Joust Tournament will be held. Only 48 people can participate, so make sure you hurry to enter!
