Activision has decided its time to stop deluding themselves. It isn’t keeping Call of Duty: Ghosts under wraps anymore. People know the game exists. So, the company has gone ahead and opened the official Call of Duty: Ghosts Facebook page, and it offers an enlightening tidbit.
The Call of Duty: Ghosts page doesn’t give us any screenshots, game information, trailers or system confirmations. Instead, it offers us a note saying when we’ll be able to see it in action. The game is apparently going to debut at the big next Xbox reveal Microsoft is holding on May 21, 2013. Activision will be showing it off at the event and, given that there’s an alleged November 2013 release date, it may even be a playable demo.
Actually, I guess you could take that as a confirmation that the game will be at least appearing on the Xbox 360, and perhaps even the next Xbox as well. Though a Target ad has confirmed PS3 and Xbox 360 versions at the very least.
If you’re super excited and don’t care how Call of Duty: Ghosts looks or plays, you can pre-order it immediately. It’s coming out November 5, 2013 according to product listings at Amazon, Best Buy and GameStop. Best Buy even has a promotional offer where if you buy Defiance (PS3, Xbox 360), Gears of War Judgement (Xbox 360), Call of Duty: Black Ops II (PS3, Xbox 360), God of War: Ascension (PS3) or 12 months of Xbox Live Gold and pre-order Call of Duty: Ghosts right now, you’ll get a free $15 gift card. Hooray for hype!
