xbox_live_weekly_update_image13Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is here this week. It doesn’t require a copy of Far Cry 3 and truthfully doesn’t have much to do with Far Cry 3. It’s a parody of 1980s themed visions of the future. The year is 2007, and Sargent Rex Colt is a Mark IV Cyber Commando fighting a cyborg army. This future includes cyborgs, mutants and the aforementioned blood dragons. It’s serious shooting in a world not meant to be taken seriously. Blood Dragon is 1200 Microsoft Points. ($15)

Snoop Dogg, whoops, excuse me, Snoop Lion loves 70s kung fu and blaxploitation flicks as much as he loves rap music. He’s combining all that in Way of The Dogg, a rhythm-based action game from Echo Peak. You’ll need to match attacks to the beats of Snoop’s songs to save the day. America Jones cares about two things, his woman and the fight game. When things go wrong on the streets, he has to seek Snoop Dogg’s wisdom and training at The Temple. It is 800 MP to learn the Way of the Dogg.

Star Wars Day is May 4, and Zen Studios is celebrating by selling Star Wars Pinball for only 400 MP through May 7. ($5) It includes tables for “The Empire Strikes Back,” Boba Fett and the Clone Wars animated series. If you have never played any of Zen’s pinball games, you owe it to yourself to pick these up at this price.

Speaking of deals, the Deal of the Week has great discounts as well. Just 400 MP each are  Zombie Driver HD, The Simpsons Arcade Game, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX and X-Men. Welcome to – Die!

EA arcade sports hits NFL Blitz and NBA Jam Session are only 600 MP each. For 320 MP each you could grab Scott Pilgrim The Game, Dungeons and Dragons Daggerdale or legendary Konami game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. After all, what is a man? A miserable pile of secrets! These deals are good through May 6.

Machinima, YouTube’s most popular entertainment destination, comes to Xbox Live this week. Its shows range from coverage of competitive gaming to video game based series such as Mortal Kombat Legacy and Halo 4: Forward Into Dawn.
