After a brief and catastrophic dalliance with modern times, Call of Juarez is back with Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. This downloadable shooter stars Silas Greaves, a bounty hunter who has seen it all. At least, that’s the way he remembers it. He encounters the likes of the Billy the Kid and The Dalton Gang on his adventures, and many a bad man has ended up six feet under at his hands.
Greaves has an upgradable skill tree allowing to increase prowess with pistols, shoguns, rifles and dual wielding. There’s also a Bulletstorm – like scoring system and online leaderboards. Yeah, anyone can get a kill. Can you do it with style, pardner? It’s 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) to go back to the wicky, wicky Wild, Wild West.
I’m going to say every time I get the opportunity: all fans of comic book superheroes should own Injustice. It’s an excellent fighting game with a good story and lots of game modes. The cast is increasing regularly through DLC. This week for 400 MP, Batgirl joins the fray. Barbara’s abilities are a mixture of zoning and rushdown. As with Lobo before her, a new patch with gameplay tweaks is releasing at the same time Batgirl does. The dedicated fighting community figured an infinite with the character at launch, and NetherRealm Studios has already fixed it. Way to be on top of things, guys.
Games on Demand brings out Crysis 3 for $59.99.
The Deal of the Week provides Bangai-O HD, Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad, Karateka, Mad Tracks, and Matt Hazard: Blood, Bath and Beyond, Pid, Puzzle Quest and Texas Cheat ‘Em for 400 MP each. Puzzle Quest 2 and Puzzle Quest: Galactrix are 600 MP each. RocketBowl is 200 MP.
