xbox_live_weekly_update_image13As you have probably heard by now, Microsoft changed its mind about Xbox One and its policies on game sharing and online check-ins. Xbox One gaming will be not unlike Xbox 360 gaming. Since you’re reading this, I’m guessing you agree what we’ve got going on isn’t broken.

Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara brings back two old school D&D faves: Tower of Doom and Shadow over Mystara. They are now updated in HD with four player drop in/drop out co-op, leaderboards and collectible extras. Capcom delivered numerous Final Fight-style games back in the day, and Shadow over Mystaras is one of the most fondly remembered. Co-op brawler set in the D&D universe? It’s Nerd-vana. Now you don’t have to blow your entire allowance or spend the whole day at the food court to play it. Although those were actually pretty fun times, looking back. This two-pack is 1200 Microsoft Points. ($15)

The demo for NCAA Football 14 goes live this week. Previous installments have had some problems in dynasty mode and other areas, so EA has a lot to answer for. There’s a renewed focus on the spread and read option offenses since the game is seeing a lot more of that these days. This is our first chance to see if NCAA is on the right track, or needs to hit the books a little harder.

Another demo worth checking out is Painkiller: Hell and Damnation. Daniel Garner returns to fight demons and other evil creatures, in a quest to escape Purgatory and be reunited with his wife Catherine.

Games on Demand adds The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct for $49.99 and Toy Story Mania for $29.99.

The Deal of the Week is 50 percent off games from Popcap. Zuma’s Revenge, Heavy Weapon, Feeding Frenzy 2 and Astropop are all just 400 MP. Zuma, Feeding Frenzy, Bejeweled 2 and Bejeweled Blitz Live are 200 MP. Bejeweled 3 is 600 MP.
