Today, XSEED has announced that August 27 is when Killer is Dead will launch in North America. Previously, only Europe had a release date of August 30. For almost a week, XSEED has surely put some doubt into the minds of everyone in the US that Killer is Dead might be delayed. Those doubts can be put to rest now.

Everything that was announced for the “Fan Edition” of the European release of Killer is Dead will be included with all US launch copies. That means the 80-page hardcover art book, soundtrack CD, and the ‘Smooth Operator’ DLC pack containing bonus in-game goods ‘Gigolo Glasses,’ an alternate costume for Vivienne and Mika, a bonus ‘Gigolo Mission’ with Betty and an entire additional episode with the vampiric Sebastian will be yours sans any special edition.

“Fans have been very supportive, which we’re extremely grateful for” said Shinichi Suzuki, President of XSEED Games. “So everyone who has pre-ordered the game or buys it at launch will get a deluxe version for no extra charge.” Getting all of these goodies whether you pre-order or buy at launch on the Xbox 360 or PS3 is worth the $59.99 that XSEED is asking for.
