EA’s tapped into the Humble Bundle. We’re doomed.. Well, actually, we’re just going to be forced to suffer through fantastic deals with the Humble Origin Bundle. Yes, I’m sorry to say that you may have to rethink your stance on EA’s Origin distribution service, because the latest Humble Bundle is all about it, and some of the games are even only available via Origin.
Of course, looking at the games you’re going to play, it seems like a small price to pay. You’ll just have to suck it up, deal with EA’s DRM and not-as-good-as-Steam provider and hope for the best. I mean, you can get Dead Space 3 for $1. That alone is worth the burden of installing and using Origin.
That got your attention, didn’t it? Yes, the Humble Origin Bundle is a force. Buyers get Steam and Origin keys for Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Crysis 2: Maximum Edition, Dead Space, Medal of Honor and Mirror’s Edge and an Origin key for Dead Space 3 if they pay at least $1 for the bundle. If you kick in more than the average, which was just over $4.60 when I checked, Origin keys for Battlefield 3, The Sims 3, The Sims 3 Late Night and The Sims 3 High-End Loft Stuff are added to your collection. Of the group, it seems only The Sims 3 is available for both Windows and Macs, so keep that in mind before buying.
Another plus is, all the money from the Humble Origin Bundle goes to charity. EA is sending all money paid for these bundles to the Amarican Cancer Society, American Red Cross, Human Rights Campaign, San Francisco AIDS Foundation and watsi. None of your money goes to EA, or towards supporting Origin, so your conscience will be clean if you grab this bundle.
The Humble Origin Bundle is available until August 28, 2013. Don’t hesistate, and buy now. I say that because you know more games are being added on August 21, 2013, and if you pay the $1 minimum now, you’re guaranteed the extras without paying more once they’re added.
