Plants vs. Zombies 2 Android

Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time has been available for iOS for several weeks, but the Android version was nowhere to be found until today. The game has officially surfaced in China through the Baidu app store. According to PopCap, a worldwide release for the Android version is expected to be released this fall. Since Android supports application installs from third-parties, it’s possible to download the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2 right now.

Downloading the Chinese version really isn’t piracy since the game is free. The only thing you’ll be guilty of is a lack of patience. However, downloading this version isn’t without potential risks. Android Community grabbed a screenshot of the required permissions to install this game, and it may make you uncomfortable. You have to allow the game to read your contacts and call log and potentially send text messages. There are ways for more advanced Android users to block these permissions, but it likely requires rooting.

If all that is acceptable to you, go ahead and head to the Baidu app store and download the APK file.
