There’s that Injustice: Gods Among Us Vita incarnation confirmation we were looking forward to seeing. It’s happening. We’re getting the DC fighter from NetherRealm Studios again. Except, NetherRealm Studios isn’t working on it, and it isn’t just limited to the Vita. Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition is coming to the Vita, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and PC. Everybody is getting the chance to play it again. Not to mention, the Vita version is being put together my Armature Studio, while High Voltage Games is handling the PS4 and PC incarnations.
The PS3, Xbox 360, and PC versions of Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition won’t be terribly special. They’ll have the DLC characters Batgirl, General Zod, Lobo, Martian Manhunter, Scorpion, and Zatanna. They’ll also have 60 S.T.A.R. Labs missions and over 40 character skins for the characters. Basically, every bit of DLC For people who are really crazy about the game, there will also be a 12 track soundtrack.
It’s the Vita and PS4 versions that will have new content. The Vita version will have touch screen controls for mini-games and S.T.A.R. Labs missions, for example. The PS4 may offer something similar, as it will have touchpad controls. The PS4 version will also support video sharing and streaming, which means it’ll be easy to share playback of your favorite matches, or allow your “fans” to watch you as you play. This is in addition to the content that the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions will be getting. Which, in turn, makes the Vita or PS4 version the one to own.
Now, let’s talk release information. All versions of Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition will be released on November 12, 2013. The PS4 version will be most expensive, at $59.99. Asusual, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be $59.99. The PC and Vita versions will be most affordable, at $49.99 and $39.99, respectively. Since it’s mainly the original game, only with all DLC included, there won’t be any kind of expansion owners of the original Injustice: Gods Among Us can buy.
If you already own Injustice: Gods Among Us, I think you should go with the Vita incarnation of the update. You can take it anywhere, still play online, and you get the extra touch-screen controlled mini-games.
