Did you rush out on Black Friday to be at Target when the store opened, so you could get that The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL for $149.99? Are you heartbroken because you didn’t get one? Go to Walmart on December 1, 2013 and grab the brand new, just revealed Mario & Luigi 3DS XL for $179.96 instead. It’s a surprise bundle that includes a new, unique 3DS XL and a copy of Mario and Luigi: Dream Team .
Rumors of this Mario & Luigi 3DS XL had appeared online prior to its official unveiling, but now it’s here. The special system exists. It has a black base and a silver metallic lid with Mario and Luigi in gold. It also has Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, the latest in the Mario & Luigi RPG series, preinstalled on the system’s included SD card.
Normally, this bundle costs $199.99, just like all other 3DS XL bundles. However, Walmart is sniping other stores. The Mario & Luigi 3DS XL bundle is $20 off there, which is a pretty nice savings. You could get another game with the system for that price. Of course, when you consider you’re already saving $39.99 by getting the bundle with the game included, it’s already a pretty great deal.
Not to mention how it’ll probably eventually become a collector’s edition, since I doubt the Mario & Luigi 3DS XL bundle will be around in a few months. It’ll probably be gone from store shelves by the end of January, if it even survives the December shopping rush.
Which means if you want to get or give a 3DS XL this year, you have two great choices. Both the Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and Mario & Luigi 3DS XL bundles are quite classy and give people a great game to play.
