Sony released firmware version 1.52 for the PlayStation 4 today. It’s said to only” improve system software stability,” but the file size comes in a 323MB. The update should automatically download if you keep your PS4 in standby mode. Otherwise, it’ll automatically start downloading the next time you turn on your PS4.
This update comes shortly after an extended PSN maintenance period that also prompted a firmware update for the Vita. It’s possible this update may be related to the wave of PSN password resets that have been going around over the last few weeks, but that’s not confirmed.
For now, just enjoy the added stability. We can never have too much of that.
