I’m going to level with you all – it’s a slow day in the world of gaming. Instead of trying to make news out of nothing, let’s savor the quiet and look at the absolutely adorable import, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd. Like the original Project Diva F, Project Diva F 2nd is a rhythm game starring the Vocaloids that is coming to the PS3 and Vita on March 6, 2014. Players press buttons in time with famous Vocaloid songs, earning points to spend on costumes, furniture, and gift items. The song and video creation options return, as does the Diva Room virtual pet option.

And, since the latest news from Japan revolves around Project Diva F 2nd‘s Diva Room, those are the cute screenshots we’ll be cooing over.

The Diva Room is basically a light version of a pet simulator. Players decorate rooms for each Vocaloid character. When a character is inside, they may interact with the furniture or any items they’re given. This time around, the characters may even ask for specific items. There’s also a mini-game, but apparently it isn’t the rock-paper-scissors game from the original Project Diva F.

As far as music is concerned, some of the newly added songs include “Decorator,” “Erase or Zero,” “Double Lariat,” “Envy Catwalk,” “Uraomote Lovers,” “Paradichlorobenzene,” “Kawase Kawase,” “Kokoro,” “Musunde Hiraite Rasetsu to Mukuro,” and “Karakuri Piero.”

We’ll close this out with one last bit of Project Diva F 2nd cuteness. Here’s a snippet of the game’s opening movie. (The song playing is “Decorator.”

No word on if Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd is coming to North America. Maybe if US releases of Project Diva F for the PS3 and Vita do well enough, it will. If it doesn’t, don’t worry. The PS3 and Vita are both region-free and this series is very import-friendly, so you can always get a copy from Japan.
