Xbox logoFrom now until the end of May, Microsoft is throwing a promotion that could end with you getting a $5 credit for spending at least $15 on some Xbox Live-related purchases. Here’s how it works, if you spend $15 on a Xbox Live Gold subscription or Xbox Gift card at retail and upload your receipt, you’ll be sent a $5 voucher via email. You have to do a little grunt work to get the voucher, so here’s what you have to do.

Go to the Xbox promotional website and enter by inputting your name and email address. Once you do that, you’ll be taken to a page with a unique numerical code. You have to write that code on your sales receipt and take a picture of the receipt. The retailers name, the product price and the date of purchase have to be visible on the picture. From there, you just have to upload it using Microsoft’s tools.

You can get a total of 10 $5 promotion codes. If you were planning to stock up on gift cards, now’s the time to do that.
