When you think of video game voice actresses, Laura Bailey is one of the first women who come to mind. She’s been a major presence in the industry, way back since her start voicing Akane, Dende, and Kid Trunks in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, and has gone on to star in over 230 different anime series, cartoons, video games, and movies. She’s a die-hard veteran and, if you’re at ACEN 2014, you can meet her. Or, you can keep reading and hear her.
GamerTell was able to attend a Laura Bailey interview session at E3 2014 and it was, in a world, incredible. Bailey’s body of work is staggering. She’s such a presence in the industry, and had a lot of thoughts to share on her work. Since we’re all gamers here, you’ll be pleased to know she talked about what drew her to the role of Fetch in inFamous: Second Son , what it was like to voice Jaina in World of Warcraft, the joys of searching for her own voice in Fallout: New Vegas, how she’s the best companion in The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, and being the ultimate Boss in the third and fourth Saints Row games. Of course, she also pointed out how she’s the new voice of the Demon Hunter in Diablo III as of the Reaper of Souls expansion.
But enough talk. Let’s listen to Laura Bailey! Crank it up, as it might be a little quiet otherwise.
Unfortunately, the recording ends before she talked about how much she’d love to be in a Pixar movie. We’d love to hear you in a Pixar movie too, Laura!
Again, ACEN 2014 is on in Chicago until May 18, 2014. If you’re in the area, you may want to stop by. You can meet Laura Bailey, and other actors. Not to mention, if you stop by early enough on Saturday, you might be able to get tickets to the Nobuo Uematsu and Arnie Roth A New World: Intimate Music from Final Fantasy concert!
