I must admit, I feel bad for Natsume going into E3 this year. It’s biggest moneymaker, Harvest Moon, won’t actually be a Harvest Moon game. The Natsume game will have the same name, but is an entirely new game from their own developer. Still, judging by the Natsume game lineup for E3 2014, the company has recovered nicely.

All of the Natsume games that will appear this year have been revealed, and it’s a pretty steady lineup for them. It consists of some series they’ve triumphed before, like Reel Fishing, Harvest Moon, and the Gabrielle line. Also, they’re relying on some Kemco RPGs as well.

Here are the Natsume games we’ll see at E3.

  • Alphadia Genesis (Wii U)
  • A-Train: City Simulator (3DS)
  • End of Serenity (PSP)
  • Gabrielle’s Monstrous Duel (iOS)
  • Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley (3DS)
  • Hometown Story: Pocket (iOS)
  • Ninja Strike (iOS)
  • Reel Fishing: Master’s Challenge (Vita)
  • Reel Fishing Pocket 2: Ocean (iOS)

As you can see, eight of the nine Natsume games that will be E3 will be exclusive to handheld systems. Be it 3DS, iOS, PSP, or Vita, Natsume has it covered. I suppose it’s reassuring, and also quite smart. The company can rely on digital distribution that way, and save on the costs on their end in the process.
