Been longing for The Legend of Zelda Monopoly? Well, it’s coming true. USAopoly, creators of all custom Monopoly games, is going to release Monopoly: The Legend of Zelda on September 15, 2014. The sad, cruel twist, however, is that GameStop is going to get the best version of it.
See, GameStop now has a listing for its exclusive Legend of Zelda Monopoly. And while USAopoly’s official site is showing one $39.95 version of Monopoly: The Legend of Zelda, GameStop’s one is a few cents more and much better.
Why? Well, because it has extra stuff. The GameStop exclusive edition has a different box, an Ocarina of Time token, 6 extra Item Power Cards, and a map of the kingdom of Hyrule. Granted, it won’t make much of a difference in terms of gameplay, but who would go some place else when there’s a slightly better version at one particular chain?
So when you’re adding The Legend of Zelda Monopoly to your holiday wishlists this year, make sure you tell people where to buy the game for you. Because there’d be nothing worse than getting a copy of the game you want, but then seeing it doesn’t have that special GameStop exclusive edition box.
