teenage mutant ninja turtles posterKnow what’s out in theaters today? That new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. (Yuck!) I think I speak for the majority of the internet when I say no thank you. That’s okay. We do not want this. Really. Which is why I propose we spend the day enjoying good, classic, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles media instead.

Because really, it’s easy to find good Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles content to watch. Or even good games starring the heroes in a half shell! Which brings us to this list. This is how you can get the turtle content you should be consuming.

  • Amazon: Oh man, TMNT fans. Has Amazon got you covered. If you don’t mind waiting, you can find every movie cheap here. If you do, then I hope you have Amazon Prime. It’s like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles greatest hits compilation, because as far as I can see, all the best cartoon series and movies are available via Amazon Instant Video.
  • GameFly: Don’t mind waiting a while? Go to GameFly. It has TMNT games for the 3DS, DS, GBA, GameCube, PS2, PSP, Wii, Xbox, and Xbox 360. Put some on your list and enjoy stepping into the turtles… shoes? Let’s pretend they wear shoes.
  • Google Play: If you don’t mind dodging all the unofficial Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles apps, you’ll find Google Play is a haven for all sorts of on-demand access to TMNT movies, games, and even music.
  • Hulu: Like Nickelodeon’s TMNT cartoon? Hulu Plus users can catch some episodes right now.
  • Nickelodeon: Of course, why go to Hulu when you can catch episodes of the current cartoon (which really is surprisingly good) for free online right now? Nickelodeon has five full episodes online right now.
  • iTunes: Like Amazon, iTunes has you covered. There are classic TMNT movies and TV shows, as well as iOS apps to enjoy.
  • Redbox: Ready to take a drive? Your nearest Redbox should have Xbox 360 and Wii copies of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game based on the Nick cartoon.
  • Steam: Need a game right now? Steam has Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows for $14.99. You can have it in under an hour, maybe less depending on your internet speed.

You can’t say “good TMNT media” and then go on to talk about the Xbox 360/Wii TMNT game. I’d rather watch the new movie 40 times than play that shovelware ever again.
