“There were otome-related game announcements during Sony’s Japan Asia 2014 press conference and Jenni is going to talk about them? What a shock!” …Said no one ever. Let’s face it, it’s a thing I do. I like dating sims because they amuse me, so of course I’ll cover announcements related to them. Which is why we’re talking about the white and light pink Vita and otome game announcements.

The Vita is getting more otome games in Japan. Koei Tecmo is bringing its Neo Romance games to the handheld, though titles weren’t announced. This could, however, mean Angelique, Kiniro no Corda, or Harukanaru Toki no Naka de games. Broccoli is working on a Uta no Prince-sama Vita game. Plus, Idea Factory and Marvelous are apparently working on things too.

To go along with all these new otomes is a new color scheme. It’s a white and light pink Vita. As you can see from the picture above, it has a white face and pink back. Why? I don’t know. Perhaps it’s considered girly? Pink is the color of love? It doesn’t really matter. A new pink Vita is a new pink Vita.

The white and light pink Vita will hit Japan on November 13, 2014 and will cost ¥18,980 ($183). It makes you wonder if perhaps some of those new otome games will be out that same month. Which also happens to be the month in which my birthday falls. (Hint hint!)
