Remember that time when my daughter in Skyrim wound up adopting a pet bunny? It followed her around and somehow survived for a really long time? Well, once again I decided to bring my daughter adventuring with me. We joined the Imperial Legion and were assigned to the Pale. She had adopted another pet, a fox this time, and it had decided to follow. But for some reason, the fox triggered the soldiers’ “trespasser” AI, and, well…
…The soldiers killed my daughter’s fox!
The fox wasn’t doing anything wrong! It was just following her around like a good pet! Yet for some unknown reason, the horrible soldiers decided that it was better off dead, and struck it down with a dastardly blow from their sword. Like a wrathful demon made of naught but hatred for all things canine, that terrible trooper, that repugnant recruit slew poor little Vix!
Naturally, I avenged my daughter’s fox by slaughtering the jerk who killed it, but the fact remains that this is probably the saddest thing that’s ever happened to me in Skyrim. It was just so senseless! I don’t understand why it happened!
At least I get a couple of leather strips out of the deal, I suppose.
