Gamertell WSVG LogoThe largest video game tournament ever to take place in Canada is bound to bring big name professional gamers world wide to the Fan Expo Canada at the Metro Convention Center in Toronto on August 24 through 26, 2007, with more than $75,000 in cash prizes to be awarded to the winners in games including World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, Guitar Hero II and Quake 4 to name a few.

Non-pro gamers who attend the World Series of Video Games (WSVG) can also compete in tournaments throughout the day for prizes and spend hands-on time with the new quad-core gaming PCs. With main stream actors like Christian Hayden (Star Wars), Adam West (Batman) and Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek) along with Canada’s own professional gaming dream team Team EG (Evil Geniuses), the Fan Expo is expecting to draw more than 50,000 fans and gamers to its convention.

Currently, due to the overwhelming response of gamers registering for the World of Warcraft player-vs-player tournament in Toronto, the WSVG has expanded availability from 24 to 32 slots but space is still limited.
