Slash won’t be the only true life guitar hero to grace Guitar Hero 3: Activison recently announced that Bret Michaels, the front man of ’80s metal band Poison will be appearing in the game. Additionally, a cover of Poison’s “Talk Dirty to Me” and a master track of the Bret Michaels Band’s “Go that Far” have been added to the expansive track list.
The rocker went through the full motion capture treatment at Neversoft’s studio to get ready for his digital close-up, and he’s apparently a big fan of the series. Unfortunately, Michaels won’t actually be a playable character (like Slash) though he will strut his stuff onstage whenever players perform one of his songs. It’s a nice little touch, even if it is basically another attempt for Neversoft to get an edge on competitor Rock Band.
Guitar Hero 3 is set to launch in October 2007 on the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, and Wii.
