The war between Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band just keeps heating up, as Harmonix and EA announced more Rock Band news today at the Leipzig Games Convention. The title will be coming to European PS2’s – though no word yet on whether this will also be true in North America. On top of this, 10 new tracks were announced, featuring ultra popular (and previously under represented) artists like Rolling Stones, Smashing Pumpkins, and The Clash.
The new tracks include:
Rolling Stones – “Gimme Shelter”
Deep Purple – “Highway Star”
The Clash – “Should I Stay or Should I Go?”
Faith No More – “Epic”
Smashing Pumpkins – “Cherub Rock”
Radiohead – “Creep”
Beastie Boys – “Sabotage”
Jet – “Are You Gonna be My Girl”
OK GO – “Here it Goes Again”
Nine Inch Nails – “The Hand that Feeds”
It’s going to be quite interesting to see which game stands out on top later this year. Rock Band is slated for release in the US Christmas 2007 on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
