Big Daddy

In a nice bit of customer service done right, 2K games is planning to quickly rectify a situation that arose once it became known that a percentage of Big Daddy figurines (part of the Bioshock limited edition box) showed up damaged. Apparently, a fraction of the figures were damaged in transit to US and Canadian retailers.

2K is working on a replacement program right away. From the release:

“Since redemption will not be immediate as replacement figurines are currently beginning production, we will be also sending affected customers a complimentary special printed edition of the BioShock art book, Breaking the Mold, to enjoy while the replacement figurines are produced and shipped. Additionally, 2K Games will cover all shipping costs for the figurines and art book.”

I imagine a few companies could learn from 2K’s quickness on a production issue (Microsoft, I’m looking at you!). Either way, if you received a broken figure, check 2K’s site for details on how to get the art book and apply for a new figure.
