The Sims features Breadbox BandThe Breadbox Band is a quirky group that sounds like Nine Inch Nails meets Bob Marley. Their music is easy to groove with, as many have been enjoying through Electronic Arts’ The Sims games.

Composed of five members with different influences, Breadbox infuses its crowds with music that promotes high spirits and positive energy. Their sound track titled N is featured on the latest Sims project, The Sims 2 Seasons Expansion Pack, and can be heard on the band’s myspace page.

The expansion pack, released six months ago, includes music from the Breadbox Band as well as other bands, all performing songs in the game’s nonsensical Simlish language. With more than 16 million copies of the strategic life-simulation computer game already sold since it first appeared on February 2000, The Sims has become the biggest and best-selling PC game in history.

The group welcomes the exposure it has received through the game:

“It wasn’t about the money. It’s about the exposure,” said Breadbox band keyboardist Jordan Simms. “Sixteen million people are into Sims. If we even get a tiny percentage of that, I’ll take it. You can’t get much exposure in the usual way. We’re more than happy to go the unusual route. We have the game and we’re doing the typical, which is touring.”

Currently the Breadbox Band is preparing for its concert at the Saint located at 601 Main Street in Asbury Park on September 6 but will only be open to those ages 18 and older.
