eGames announces Purrfect Pet Shop game

Purrfect Pet Shop, a new casual adoption game, will be released by eGames at the end of December, 2008. The game will allow players to work as an animal shelter volunteer who finds the perfect pets for visitors. Demos of the game will be available through eGames and other casual game sites, but the full version will cost $19.99

Essentially Purrfect Pet Shop is a combination of Cake Mania and a virtual pet. The main game mode has players matching up pets to certain types of people who come in. The virtual pet mode has players customizing and raising a pet. In an ironic twist, the pet the player has spent the whole game rehabilitating and building a relationship with is supposed to be put up for adoption at the end of the game. I bet that will make some younger players cry.
