Guild Wars Holiday event includes 5 free hours of Eye of the North

Now until Sunday, December 16, 2007, Guild War players can try Guild Wars: Eye of the North free for five hours. The level requirement has been permanently lowered from 20 to 10 to make it easier for players to access one of Guild Wars first true expansion and continue to enjoy the game once they’ve purchased a copy.

Allowing players to explore and level up in the new world will definitely attract them to the special contents for the holidays as players who purchase Eye of the North will receive: Triple experience from all primary storyline quests in Eye of the North; double the chance to receive rare items from chests and triple the drop rate of Lockpicks; and double gold and experience rewards for vanquishing the explorable areas while playing in hard mode. This includes rare special items will drop from random creatures within the world throughout the expansion game.

To access this preview, visit the Guild Wars website and use the universal key provided to activate the trial. The account must have one full version of the any of the Guild War games to access new content at current level. Once activated the trial game will last five hours.

Other features of the trial version of the expansion pack will include:
