The new video game studio The Game Equation has just released their very first game, Deep Blue Sea. The title is a casual puzzle game created for both Macs and PCs, quite a departure from Hitman, a game that The Game Equation founders Brian Meidell and Bo Cordes previously worked on. It also features a soundtrack of five songs from Rasmus Hartvig, a well known Danish composer.
In Deep Blue Sea players try to match different marine life and treasures in couples of three or more to reveal artifacts, unleash special magic attacks, collect the seven sacred amulets and clear the 130 levels in the games. Players can also spend money collected on different kinds of power ups, upgrades equipment to use during play. Like the Mr. Driller games, the idea is to get to the bottom of each level in order to make it to the next one.
Both a free demo and the $20 full version are available at the official site. A PC must have Windows 2000, XP or Vista and Directx 7.0 and a Mac must have OS X 10.4 in order to run Deep Blue Sea. The demo is a 7.9 MB download, and the full version is 11.3 MB.
