The most amazing avatars are showing up on Second Life thanks to the work of Damien Fate. Fate has perfected Final Fantasy X avatars, which he has also made available for other users to buy. Each avatar costs around $5 American, or 1000 Lindens in Second Life currency. His avatars are available for purchase in Second Life, on the SLExchange and on OnRez.
Currently, Fate has only completed work on four avatars from FFX, with more planned. Bahamut, Ifrit, Shiva and a chocobo are all completed, each with alternate color schemes and animated attacks. He also has completed a Kingdom Hearts Sora avatar, complete with keyblade, that can be purchased for use in the program. Fate’s YouTube channel features demo videos of each of his completed creations.
Below is a video of the chocobo avatar and its color variations. It even has the trademark squawk!
Kotaku reports that Fate is currently working on Tonberry and Ixion avatars to join the others. Once he is finished, there will likely be videos of those characters as well, so be prepared to keep your eyes peeled. All of them look equally awesome, but I’d personally have to wait for a Tonberry or, dare I say it, a moogle. The prospect of a pink chocobo is pretty tempting.
