Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, already a proven system seller in Japan, has just become more appealing due to the announcement of an exclusive pre-order item. Anyone who pre-orders the game at GameStop/EB Games, Game Crazy or Amazon will also receive a limited edition UMD case with the Shinra company logo on it. The UMD case is black with a techie appearance and the Shinra logo in black, white and silver.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is the prequel to Final Fantasy VII starring Zach Fair. It discusses the events in the world before Sephiroth went awry in Nibelheim, through Zach’s eyes. It also is the story of his mentor Angael, Sephiroth and the mysterious Genesis. Of course other famous FFVII characters make appearances, like Cloud, Tseng and Aeris.
Of course a multitude of Final Fantasy fanatics were already going to purchase this title on the March 25, 2008 date of release. This extra little premium guarantees that the fans will be lining up at their favorite retailer to pre-order their copy and guarantee the receipt of some really sweet swag. None of the sites have a special listing including the pre-order item yet, so it might be best to wait a day or two before placing any orders.
