Smooth Few Films, creators of “The Leet World” and “Halo 3: The Over-Achiever“, have released a new short humorous film set in the Portal world. “Portal: A Day in the Life of a Turret” offers a short vignette detailing what life is like as an automated gun turret whose only role in life is to shoot at escaping test subjects in the Aperture Science Enrichment Center.
It is hilarious and quite possibly one of the best ways to spend four minutes. It is interesting and entertaining. Also, despite the use of quite a few Portal in-jokes, it is also accessible and funny for any video game fan. It also is amazing the personality depths that can be found in a turret.
Below is Smooth Few Films’ “Portal: A Day in the Life of a Turret.” Be advised, there is some questionable language so don’t watch it at work or around small children.
If you’ve especially enjoyed the video, then stop by Smooth Few Films’ official Portal short page. There links to mpeg, HD mpeg and wmv video download links are provided. The site also promises iPod and HD wmv format downloads in the future.
