Littlest Pet Shop Wii

EA and Hasbro have just created an agreement which will allow EA to make video games based on various Hasbro properties. Some of the first toys and games which will be getting the video game treatment are Littlest Pet Shop, NERF, Monopoly, Scrabble and Yahtzee. The games will be prepared for console, mobile and web releases. Many of the titles, such as Littlest Pet Shop, NERF N-Strike, Scrabble, Monopoly Here and Now and Yahtzee Adventures will be shown at the New York Toy Fair running February 17-19, 2008.

The console releases so far include Littlest Pet Shop and NERF N-Strike. Littlest Pet Shop will be released before the end of Fall, 2008 on the DS, Wii and PC and will be a pet simulation and collecting game. NERF N-Strike will be released at roughly the same time on the DS and Wii, and will be a shooter that comes with a custom controller that can be used with the video game or on its own.

Quite a few mobile releases are scheduled, with some already available. Scrabble has already been released for cell phone users. Monopoly Here and Now is expected to be available through carriers and EA in March, 2008. The final announced mobile game is Yahtzee Adventures, which will be available in April, 2008. All of the games based on board games function proceed in pretty much the same manner as their real world counterparts.

Pogo.com is going to be receiving the bulk of EA/Hasbro titles. The first title will be Yahtzee, which will be released this sometime this summer. Monopoly Here and Now, Operation and Trivial Pursuit will all follow shortly after and be on Pogo.com before the end of Fall, 2008. All of the titles except for Operation, which will be a single player game that users download, will be able to be played with others online.
