The video game gods have evidently heard my prayers, EA has just announced that Mass Effect will be coming to the PC in May, 2008. Today )February 12, 2008) EA games announced that this insanely popular and majestic game will be redesigned and released for PC users. As most everyone already knows, Mass Effect is a short of choose-your-own-adventure style action RPG where players star as Commander Shepard. You save the galaxy, find love, interact with aliens and explore space all while navigating through an epic storyline.
Quite a bit is being added to the game, according to the press release. The controls are going to be redesigned, but at the same time allow players to set their own comfortable and customized control scheme. The graphics will also be optimized for PC users. The inventory and skills will also be tweaked to make it easier to use abilities and equip items. Also an additional decryption mini-game will be included in the PC version. The press release did not mention if there will be add-on content packs for the PC version which will feature the content available in the Xbox Live downloads for the console version of the title.
I’m excited! Everyone else get excited too! Except for people with Macs. Sorry Mac users – Mass Effect‘s not for you. This is a very smart move on the part of EA.

Rats, I was just going to do this one too
Sorry XD I just saw it in the "Claim Me" section and pounced right on it.
I just got a new laptop, so I'm praying it'll run Mass Effect. Are you gonna get it too?
I am a 360 guy so I already played it when it came out. Its soooooo good. Game of the year in my eyes. A little short for a RPG though, only about 20 hours but well worth playing more then once.
thank God for Everything that he has given us…

@ Christopher: Lucky! XD I don't own any of the next gen consoles so I get left out a bit. If it's as good as you say, then I'll have to pick it up.
@ k.aisek: I was just joking above. (I'm actually a Lutheran myself.)
