According to the Spore Newsletter, Will Wright’s (The Sims) latest god game Spore has just received an official release date. GayGamer reports that gamers will be able to start building their own little pockets of the universe (and wacky new civilizations) on September 7, 2008.
The ambitious title will be released on the PC, Mac, Nintendo DS and mobile platforms. In related Spore news, Newsweek’s Level Up blog has a terrific interview with the game’s executive producer Lucy Bradshaw, about the challenges of bringing the game to such a diverse smattering of hardware. Curiously, there’s been no mention of the announced Wii version (which could possibly have been pushed back).

So it isn't bad enough they have to fill my machine with The Sims 2 stuff, but now Spore too? XD And you know you 'can't' just settle for the DS or console version if you're a true sim fan.
