Capcom has put up a poll Tuesday (February 19, 2008) on their official North American Bionic Commando site that anyone faintly interested in downloading Bionic Commando Rearmed, the souped-up remake of the classic NES title headed for the XBox 360, Playstation 3 and PC, should probably vote in: whether to price the game at $10 or $15.
Supposedly, this is really to settle an argument between Capcom’s brass and their community person, Ben Judd. Judd has informed XBox 360 Fanboy that he thinks the game will sell more at $10, while the higher-ups think the sheer improvement from its 8-bit state should plenty justify a $5 hike to $15.
Of course, with games shooting up in price, two of the three current systems going beyond the once-industry standard $300 mark and the rise of inaccessible on-disc content which can only be unlocked by paying yet more money, it’s easy to see where this poll is going, and rightfully so. Adolf Hitl… I mean Master-D’s (the old-school censorship Nintendo of America unleashed on the NES original is still here) face exploding in a bloody mess is something that should be shown to as many gamers as humanly possible.
