starbreeze studios EALike Hollywood, the game industry seems to be looking into its past in order to resurrect long forgotten and abandoned franchises from the golden era of gaming. Now it would seem that the Swedish developer, Starbreeze Studios, who was developer of one of the few outstanding movie to game tie-ins, Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, and more recently, The Darkness (which can easily be called one of the best and worse comic games to be made) is currently toying away reinventing one of Electronic Arts forgotten franchises.

EA and Starbreeze so far are being mum about the unnamed secret title. The only information that has been released about what they are calling Project RedLime is that the game is being developed for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the PC. As Starbreeze’s last two games were first-person shooters, it’s a good bet that what ever Project RedLime might be, it will be a FPS of some kind.

So at this point, what Project RedLime is, is anyone’s guess, but EA promises that Project RedLime is based off of one of their most popular classic franchises. Any speculations out there?

  1. My personal guess is Wing Commander.

Red for kilrathi and green for confed.

    Lord Aramus
  2. That would be cool.
