Etna cross stitch

This is my favorite cross stitch so far. My most recent piece is of Etna, originally from Disgaea but frequent guest star of other NIS games. I enjoyed making a prinny cross stitch the week before, and decided I wanted to try making another NIS PS2 sprite. Once I found an adorable Etna sprite, I knew I had to give it a try.

Etna is based on a sprite from Crimson Penguin’s Sprite Page and has quite a few colors used to create her. There are three different shades of red/pink for her hair and boots, three shades of purple in her boots and outfit, a separate shade of purple for her wings and tail, two shades of peach for her skin and black, brown and white for her eyes. She also didn’t take that long to complete, as I spent about 15 minutes to a half an hour each night last week making her.

This Etna piece is my sixth video game cross stitch, and I have to say that it is my favorite. Despite the complexity, I really enjoyed working on it. My previous pieces were a prinny from Disgaea, a Burgertime piece, a Link cross stitch, two characters from Little Nemo: The Dream Master and an angel Kirby piece. Since Etna was kind of time consuming, as was the prinny, I’ve decided that I’m going to do something simpler next time. I’m thinking either a Pokemon sprite or something similar.
