If you’re going to San Francisco next week, you may want to get in line early outside the Metreon Playstation Store. Square Enix has just announced that it will be holding a special event for the release of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. The event will be held on March 25, 2008 from 6-9 PM, and loads of special goodies will be given away. There is a dark side to every happy cloud though, as only 200 people will be able to attend the event. In case you’re not from the area, the address for the place is 101 4th St. in San Fran, California.

Of course the main attraction for an event like this is the goodies. If you are one of the few, proud and diligent who managed to be among the first 100 people to attend, you receive a free t-shirt. Also all attendees will be able to get ‘official’ ShinRa company ID cards with their name and photo. Probably the biggest draw will be the raffle, where free Final Fantasy stuff will be given away. One of the prizes mentioned is a rare lithograph.

I’d go just for the free ID card. I loved the Turks in FFVII. The whole ShinRa UMD case is the whole reason I’m even preordering the game. ShinRa related merchandise is so stylish and goes with everything.
