Wyclef JeanA few years ago, the Red Hot Chilly Peppers’ music video for “I dream of Californication” featured surreal video game environments in which the band members appeared as game characters. The video seemed pretty innovative and cutting edge at that time. Rapper Wyclef Jean’s latest music video Fast Cash is just as impressive, featuring Burnout Paradise footage along with the PS3 and PSP game systems.

In the video, Wyclef Jean is behind the wheel of a car controlled by a child using his PS3. The action kicks-off with Jean getting a message on his PSP that him of his next mission. After that he reaches out for his PS3 and is next seen driving a car inside the Burnout Paradise world. The concept was conceived by Jean himself and, in fact, he also co-directed the video with Leopoldo Gout of Curious Films.

The video is part of Wyclef’s latest album Carnival Vol II: Memoirs of an Immigrant. It will be available for download in high definition from the Playstation Store from March 27, 2008, for a limited time.
