gamertell M Network Game Catalog 1982 coverM Network (actually Mattel Electronics) has released its first catalog of 11 games for the Atari VCS and, dude, does it look totally awesome.

First, the box art is choice featuring black and gnarly silver ink. It will certainly impress your friends when you go to pull out the cartridge. Second, these games feature way more colors than other games, even using multiple shades of green in games like Frogs and Flies.

There is also an impressive looking space shooter titled Space Attack where you play from the view of the pilot in the cockpit. Totally rad.

Of course the big game, when it is finally available, will be Tron Deadly Discs, which will be in stores before the Disney movie is even in theaters.

There are also a few sports games to round out the choices. Here’s the complete list:

  • Armor Ambush (2 players, random battlefields)

  • International Soccer (2 players, realistic field action, awesome sound effects)
  • Astroblast (1 player, 2 difficulties)
  • Frogs and Flies (1 or 2 players, complete control of frigs, great for all ages)
  • Dark Cavern (1 player, increasing difficulty)
  • Super Challenge Football (2 players, realistic defensive and offensive options, complete scoreboard)
  • Lock ‘N Chase (1 or 2 players, evade the police)
  • Sea Battle (2 players, great visuals)
  • Super Challenge Baseball (2 players, nine full innings (YES!) and more player options than ever before)
  • Tron Deadly Discs (Play it before the Disney movie is even in theaters!)
  • Space Attack (1 player, 2 difficulties, pilot’s view, radar screen)
