Guinness Gaming
To celebrate the launch of the Guinness World Records: Gamers Edition 2008, the first ever Guinness World Records book dedicated to gaming, Guinness is hosting a huge arcade gaming event at Barcade in Brooklyn, NY on April 10, 2008. The event invites all and sundry to prove their arcade gaming mettle for a chance to rewrite the record books.

All gamers 21 and older (bring your ID) can try their luck at breaking five different records:

  • Fastest time to beat five boards on Ms. Pac Man
  • Fastest time to beat five boards on Tapper
  • Highest Out-Run score
  • Highest Ghosts ‘n Goblins score
  • Highest Donkey Kong score without using the hammer

Even if you suck at these arcade games your abject skill levels won’t be discriminated against, and you can freely embarrass yourself. The event will start at 7:20 PM on April 10, 2008.

The Guinness World Records: Gamers Edition 2008 was released on March 11, 2008 in the U.S and is available for a price of $19.95.
